🎯 Director, Cameraman, WriterEditor, Voice Actor | Create a fact-accurate, entertaining and respectful documentary of boat mills and their historical aspects, the Boat Mill of Ráckeve, its creation, its last 15 years and the people who built it and run it still and their community.

❓ In December of 2024, talks between me and my mother, who is the vice president of the Ráckeve Millers’ Guild Foundation, were taking place about the Boat Mill of Ráckeve’s 15th anniversary coming up and that I could be involved in the works of a project related to it as part of my internship work experience. Ideas were thrown around and I came up with the initiative to make a documentary-styled film about the boat mill on a larger scale, given that nobody has done that to such an extent before and that this would be the perfect opportunity for us do make it happen.

In February of 2025 I got to work on a preparatory document and a treatment of a documentary in collaboration with my mother, which involved an immense and lengthy research on the available documents and archived forum posts regarding the creation and up-keeping of the boat mill. These documents were finished in March, and they can be found here and here.
The president of the foundation approved our work and thus, the production of the documentary was commenced.

The first scenes were shot in May, which was the exterior time-lapse footage that would be first shown in the film. Due to my graduation and thesis publication periods, further work on the documentary was halted until July, when a thorough, mostly day-by-day work had begun on the film. I worked closely with my mother, given that she’s a central part of the community and loves the subject matter and the people around it, and we had regular discussions and ideas thrown around regarding the film’s structure, who should be involved, what parts should talk about which topics etc.

We decided we wanted to conduct interviews with many members of the community, and in the end we would have 33 interviews & 40 people presented in the documentary. Interviews, b-roll shooting and editing were done alternately and over the course of 4 months we accumulated hundreds of gigabytes of footage of which around ~4 hours were interviews and ~17 hours were b-roll footage. The project was sorted into 3 drafts: the first draft put the interviews in order, given the context and the script that my mother put together after analyzing the recorded material and the ~50 pages long transcript document; the second draft added many of the images, videos and visual information to the film with researched accuracy and care for presentation - my father restored and upscaled hundreds of images for the film -; and the third draft combined everything whilst also adding music, certain sound effects and a narrator to give the film a final, intended feel.

I also decided to give voice to the narrator in the film, given that despite all the interviews we conducted, there were still plenty of good and important bits of information that nobody mentioned or talked about, and to be able to give more context to the viewers, the role of a narrator was crucial as a sort of context- and narrative glue in between the presented interviews. I recorded and re-recorded the lines many times, making sure that the narrator sounded as entertaining, informative and relaxing as possible.

By the middle of November, after countless hours of filming, writing, arranging, administrating, voice acting, editing, re-editing, and re-watching the material, the film was finally completed and exported chapter by chapter, then put together into one final video file. I also created a short intro for myself which was added last to the film.

On the 28th of November a screening was held to the community of the boat mill to which around 70 people showed up.
It was a huge success on every front and a big relief to all of us who worked on the film. In December the Hungarian and English subtitles were made and published.

The documentary can be accessed here.

📑 I received many appraisals and kind words from a lot of people who watched the film - at the screening, people came up to me and hugged me, called me a genius, praised the film in every way they could, I had never felt so acknowledged and loved because of a project I helped be made. The Facebook page of the town of Ráckeve also shared our film, congratulating us for our work.
Universally, the film is loved and adored by the community it portrays and that is the best outcome and feedback we ever could have hoped for.

🎯 Editor, Voice Actor | Create an accurate, emotional and powerful impression of the final speech of the character “The Machine” from the video game Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (2013) delivered through a video with B-Rolls from the game

❓ For many years I wanted to make this project a reality but with many previous attempts, I did not feel I was skilled enough to deliver a performance worthy of publication. With a lot of practice and patience, in June of 2024, the time finally came to make this idea a reality.

After a few days of practice, on the 18th of June, after some preparations, I recorded the speech more than 10 times with various approaches, intonations and emotional intensity during the period of an hour in the afternoon. For the remainder of the day in my free time, and on the 19th of June, I worked on mixing and editing the recordings to be of better quality and use. Having so many recordings, I had the freedom to experiment with editing them together, depending on how I felt certain parts of the speech were delivered. Also on this day, I recorded many clips throughout Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs that would be used as B-Roll for the final video.

On the 20th of June, I edited the recorded speech with the game footage, and on the same day, I exported and uploaded the final video to my YouTube channel.

My performance can be found here.

💬 Assignment Task
🎯 Director, Cameraman, Editor, Writer, Voice Actor | Create a plot video based on a previously written treatment

❓ Following an assignment where we had to write a film treatment based on our previously written synopsis, our next task was to make a pilot video based on a segment of the treatment we had written. We chose to make the whole thing.

The time between the 6th and 12th of November was spent coming up with ideas and determining how we want to create our video. As with the treatment, since the core of our project was my idea, I chose to take the lead this time as well and suggested that we make a machinima - a type of film that is shot within a videogame. My reasoning was that it would be far easier with our available time and equipment, as a video-game offers a wide variety of assets, characters and locations that could serve as great tools to tell our story - besides, I've already made a machinima before titled Dear Diary a couple of years ago, so I had some sort of idea how to approach this project next. The others agreed, and for the rest of the week I was researching and gathering the tools necessary to start shooting the machinima, which I concluded the best game for was Grand Theft Auto V (2013) as it has a fitting setting and vast enough of an open world with various locations and possibilities, a built-in video capture and editor tool, as well as a thriving modding community with several options and improvements for the sake of creating machinima.

The time between the 13th and 25th of November we have written the dialogues for the characters and recorded the voice-lines. Besides this, I have outlined the scenes I want to shoot based on the treatment and began filming some of the less demanding ones that relied on little to no dialogue or conversations. Once I had the voice-recordings, however, I could move on to more complex scenes. I was working mostly in chronological order, and at this point in production I had to do the following:
Set up the scenes: place my actors and position them, give them animations, make them say certain in-game lines approximately the same length as our recorded voice-lines. Place props, adjust the time and weather settings, and move certain characters manually to achieve the desired effects. Record: when everything is set, record the scenes several times and make sure I have enough B-roll and empty sequences for future editing convenience. In the recording process, certain actions were done manually (without pre-set-up animation sequences) such as walking, talking, driving, etc. Some scenes took up to 7 hours to properly shoot, as the set-up and recording processes took considerable amount of precision and fore thought. Edit using the in-game editor: once I got my footage, I'd use the in- game Rockstar Editor to organize and cut the raw footage, add and adjust cameras and camera movements, focus length, field of view, time speed, etc. Export: once all looked good, I'd export the Rockstar Editor projects into .mp4 files for further work to be done on them.
The time between the 26th and 30th of November was the editing process. I took the exported video files and using Hitfilm, I started editing our video that by this point, had become more of a short film with its length (the raw footage in total was approximately 40 minutes long). During the editing, I was also doing some more writing for certain side characters, as well as voice-acting for the protagonist and 5 other characters in sync with the mouth movement. I added our recorded voice-lines, several sound effects, music, and all sorts of visual effects and color balance to properly convey the message and meaning of our film.

After a long and hard work, the film was finished and exported on the 30th of November and was sent to our teacher via CooSpace.
You can find it here.

📑 The teacher was thoroughly pleased with our work, as well as the other students attending the course. Dear Diary - an RDR2 short film
❔INFORMATION
A short film made in Red Dead Redemption II about 3 individuals who all live different lives yet find the same struggle.

🌍 History (11th Grade) - Ráckevei Ady Endre Gimnázium (RADYG)
💬 Homework Assignment
🎯 Director, Cameraman, Editor, Writer, Voice Actor | Create a short film with others as a unique homework solution

In April we were assigned a task in which we had to create something related to the Civil War and the Second Industrial Revolution. Given that at the time I was playing Red Dead Redemption II (2018) a lot, I figured I could combine my hobby with the homework assignment since RDR2 takes place around the same time. I came up with the main idea of having 3 distinct characters from different social and economical backgrounds who would read out-loud their latest diary entry which entails their points of view about their lives and the world. To make it more unique, I thought it would be a great idea to diversify the characters not just in their backgrounds but also their language usage, and since they taught German and French at our school, I asked a couple of my classmates who were studying said languages if they would like to contribute and collaborate. They said yes.

Shortly after I started work on the script and story with another classmate of mine and together we finalized the characters' attributes, their backgrounds and why they wrote in their diaries what they did. Once the script was finished, I sent it to the previously mentioned classmates so that they could record themselves reading out the script in character. For the final and third character, I decided I wanted to take a shot at voicing him myself.

The time between the 9th and the 12th of April was spent with editing. I made a short trailer for the short film, then each following day I spent editing one character's segment of the film. During the editing process I also went back into RDR2 to record the scenes and some extra ones if deemed necessary. For my voicelines, I deepend my voice a few decibels in Audacity since I thought I was too young to sound as close to the character on my own as I did with the decibel changes.

The final version of the short film was published on the 12th of April in Hungarian.
Shortly after, I made an English version which was published on the 19th of April.
You can access the English version here and the Hungarian, original version here.

📑 The teacher was thoroughly pleased with our work, as well as the other students attending the course. She thanked us for creating the short film and we had a call with her where we talked about how the short film was made. Even years later I would hear kind words and appreciation about the project, which felt incredible. I was proud of everyone involved.

🎯 Director, Cameraman, Editor, Writer, Actor | Create a unique, exciting, and twist-filled short film while adhering to the task criteria

❓ On the 28th of April, during one of our classes as part of a camera exercise, we were assigned to shoot footage to practice various camera handling techniques and composition skills. We formed teams and spent the remaining three hours of the lesson working on this task. Guided by a spontaneous story idea, I took charge, outlined a basic concept to the group, and with their consent, we began filming.

We shot scenes around the university area based on the story outline, and later that evening, as well as on the 29th and 30th of April, I worked on editing, narration, sound editing, and other post-production tasks.
This project became the video titled “MEETING AN OLD FRIEND.”

Following this, on the 5th of May, we had another class assignment involving further camera exercises with a new short film project. Continuing the story from the previous task, I again took the lead. During the approximately three hours available that day, we filmed additional footage meeting the task’s requirements. I later edited the raw material into a final video called “2 BIRDS, 1 STONE.”

Finally, on the 17th of May, I published a combined video integrating both projects, which can be accessed here.

📑 I received positive feedback on the videos from both the instructor and my classmates. They praised the camera handling, editing, and storytelling. Regarding the video titled “2 BIRDS, 1 STONE,” the instructor gave special commendation for the use of jump cuts (internal cuts), adding that he considers it so good that he could even imagine using it as a best practice example when teaching inner cuts. These words far exceeded my expectations, and I am proud of the final video.

ELVESZVE – Short Film About Depression and Suicide
❔INFORMATION
A short film about depression and suicide.

📅 October 2022
🌍 Social Studies I. Project Work - Budapest Metropolitan University (METU)
💬 Production of a film addressing a social issue, with a duration of at least 20 minutes and a maximum of 25 minutes
🎯 Director, Cameraman, Editor, Writer, Voice Actor | Make a thought-provoking narrative film, lasting 20–25 minutes, presenting the issue of depression and suicide from the perspective of a specific character

During the first week of October, my teammates and I decided on the film’s topic and approach: to create a narrative film addressing depression and suicide. The main character would tell their life story through a monologue that breaks the fourth wall, reflecting on significant past moments that would be visually reenacted on screen. The story would conclude with an unexpected twist revealing that the protagonist is no longer alive, and the entire monologue represents their final farewell before suicide, symbolizing the closing of their life.

Following this, through group discussions, we agreed that my classmate Zoltán Péter Hász would play the main role. Based on our collective ideas, I began writing the screenplay. I also visited various institutions and individuals to discuss the film’s concept, gather feedback, and request assistance with locations and potential cast members.

During the second week of October, we held more in-depth team meetings to discuss the film’s story and production. We considered different ideas and approaches, ultimately concluding that the original screenplay and concept were too complex given our time constraints and available resources. Consequently, we shifted direction, slightly revising the core story and staying within the narrative film genre. Building on Szabrina’s original idea, we aimed for a new approach where the protagonist engages in a dialogue with a mysterious but important character, sharing key moments and thoughts shaping their worldview, ending again with the irreversible reality of suicide. As a result, we abandoned the previous 16-page screenplay halfway through and started writing a new script based primarily on this fresh concept.

During the third week of October, the screenplay became the central focus alongside planning necessary props and locations. We also finalized the casting of characters other than the protagonist: Szabrina Barbara Tóth, Benedek Polgár, and I all agreed to act alongside Zoltán Péter Hász. We emphasized detailed pre-planning to ensure that filming would proceed as smoothly and predictably as possible within the scheduled timeframe.

By the fourth week of October, the screenplay was completed. The remaining days were devoted to filming, with specific scenes assigned to each day under my direction and with active participation and brainstorming from the team. Most aspects were planned in advance so we could follow a clear schedule of what and how to execute each part. The workload turned out lighter than expected, requiring us to extend filming of the remaining scenes into the following week.

In the first week of November, we completed the remaining scenes. The weekend was dedicated to organizing the footage and the editing process, which required full-day work on both Saturday and Sunday.

The project was finished and submitted by the deadline of the 6th of November at 8:00 PM.
You can access the film here.

📑 The project was successfully completed, and the short film was finished on time. I am personally satisfied with the final result, and we received positive feedback on the film, highlighting the story, audiovisual presentation, acting, and overall impact.

❓ On the 27th and 28th of May, two hedgehogs turned up in our garden - first only one of them, then the next day the same hedgehog with its partner. We carefully approached them, gave them some food and water, whilst I recorded them as close as possible. Given our hospitality, the hedgehogs did not feel threatened, and I could even lay right in front of one of them mere centimeters away from it get the best angles with my camera.

Thinking back to this encounter, in July I decided to take the footage and make it into a short film, focusing on the perspective of what it’s like to be so small, what time means in relation to what we do, and of course: showing the world how adorable hedgehogs can be.

On the 14th of July I finalized the video and published it.

🎯 DirectorCameramanEditor, Writer, Voice Actor | Create a one-of-a-kind birthday present for a friend of mine

❓ In the early days of November, I decided I wanted to create something special for a friend's birthday. I came up with some gift ideas, and given that around that time we would play a lot of Minecraft (2011), I wanted to make something personal in the mediums I know best - video, writing and poem reciting.

In the time between the 15th and 17th of November I was working on the script of the video, along with the poem itself. The idea was that I would recite a poem about our adventures, which the video would visualize with events and memories reenacted by our characters whom some of my other friends would play. With the scripta and poem finalized, shooting the video commenced.

On the 17th of November I recorded the scenes with my friends in Minecraft in chronological order. One of them wore my Minecraft skin, whilst the other my friend's Minecraft skin. I would instruct them what to do and when in voice, knowing I would not use the audio parts of the recordings anyway. With the recordings completed, I would edit and finalize the video on the 18th of November and upload it unlisted onto my YouTube channel.

On the 19th of November, my friend would celabrate her birthday and I sent her the final video along with the poem.
In 2022, with permission from my friend, I made the video public which you can access here.

📑 I received positive feedback from my friend whose birthday this was made for, who keeps telling me how much this means to her and that she still rewatches it from time to time. ❓ On the 9th of June, I began writing the script for the video. I established the main chapters, what they would talk about, why those chapters and their contents are the most important, and along these guiding principles I began detailing what the video would be about.

On the 15th of June I had finished writing the script and began work on the footage - I played through the entirety of the game and recorded 124 clips of moments that I thought could potentially do well in the intro sequence.

On the 16th of June I looked through all the clips and started editing the video. I made the intro sequence and established the main storyline that would run between the chapters as short fun segments. The preparations necessary for the animation work were also made.

Between the 17th and the 22th of June was the main editing and animating process. I prepared the main background picture in Aseprite, which would prove to be my main texture and sprite editing tool. In chronological order, I would create the current terminal scene and edit some sprites in Aseprite, then import them and keyframe them in Davinci Resolve. Then, along with other editing processes I would record extra footage and import the contents of the guide, making some changes along the way.

By the 23rd of June I was done with the editing and exporting processes and began work on the Steam guide that would contain the same material as it was written, along with some decorations and room for extra tips and tricks in the future, both by me and others.

On the 25th of June, the final versions of the video and the Steam guide were published, along with a short Instagram trailer.

I recorded and edited the footage the same day, adding texts and other visual elements ot the video to highlight the most important parts and some requirements such as certain items that help players' time in Beta Grove immensely. I also decided to recreate the whole video in the original System Shock (1994) as well, to demonstrate how similar yet different the remake's Beta Grove is, and because I thought it would be both a funny comparison and even more help for those who intend to play the original game as well.

💬 Ambient short film
🎯 Director, Cameraman, Editor | Create a short film about space ambience & scenery of our solar system

❓ On the 19th of April I made a test video experiment with SpaceEngine (2019) and a VHS-filter, showcasing Earth with a slow orbiting camera around it. The video turned out great based on my own and others' feedback and so I decided I want to expand on this idea and create a short film about the entire solar system.

From the 22nd through the rest of April I made in-game recordings of our planets and the Moon. Initially I wanted to have classical music in the background akin to 2001: A Space Odyssey, however when I discovered the available sonifications of our planets I chose to rely purely on ambience and real science-based audio. Throughout this period, I had recorded 56 videos and simultaneously imported it into my editing software planet by planet.
In early May, once I had all the recordings finalized, I researched and edited the audio with great care for it to be a relaxing and an on-point experience. Finally, after exporting the video in lossless quality, I ran it through a VHS filter with a software called ShaderGlass to give it an extra visual characteristic. Following this, I also made a short trailer of the short film to demonstrate briefly what it contains.

In late July I thought of a project idea: The Art of Gloom in Video Games. I wanted to create a video series in which every episode I take a video game and examine its environments and atmosphere through cinematic still shots, focusing heavily on audio and the visual fidelity of the scenes. I picked a few games, notably Half-Life 2 (2004), Silent Hill (1999), Blood (1997) and Outlast (2013).

By early August, I abandoned including Blood in the series as I thought it had not enough ambient sounds and I felt that if I were to make a video including that game, I would rather do something either more fast-paced or more comprehensive than just an episode of a video series. About the rest of the games, I recorded a handful of clips and made one edited video per game: in Silent Hill I made clips from the beginning of the game almost all the way through the whole game, not spoiling the final chapter, in the case of Outlast I intertwined the ambient video idea with some narrative presentation, and in the case of Half-Life 2 I covered all of the Highway 17 chapter.

On the 4th of August, despite not intending to publish it first, I reconsidered and since I believed it turned out to be a good video, I published it along with the Silent Hill video.

In August, following the release of my Half-Life 2 ambient video, a commenter by the username @deded6750 had expressed their love for my video and asked if I were to be interested in making a similar video about the City 10 maps of a popular mod by the name Entropy: Zero. I looked into what they were talking about and fell in love with the idea, so I got to recording soon after.

Given that the majority of the mod takes place in City 10, I decided to go through the whole mod and record as much appealing footage as possible with the exception of the final chapters, not to spoil the finale of the mod. After I was done recording, I edited the video together with even more attention to the audio and accurate representation of the feelings certain places in the mod can awake.

On the 7th of August I finished and published the video, to which the original commenter responded with great enthusiasm and appreciation.

I realized that there is far more potential in covering Outlast due to its tense environments, sound design and dark atmosphere, and halfway through recording the clips I abandoned the concept of the video series and the sole focus on ambience and turned my attention towards making the video covering Outlast both ambient and also at some point narrative-driven, covering the whole game. One could call this effort even an extended teaser for the game.

On the 2nd of August, I finished the video and published it. At that point I was so proud of the final result that I did not intend to publish the other videos I made with the other games, however later after thinking about it some more I chose to publish them separately, just not under a video series label, rather as their own separate ambient films.

In late August, following the creation of my other video game related ambient videos, I thought I could make one more themed around DOOM II (1994) and Minecraft (2011), as the two make me feel very similar in terms of atmosphere and nostalgia.

Given the scope of the previous ambient videos, I intended to make this one longer and more thorough - I chose to cover every map of the game from as many cinematic angles as I could capture. I also intended to experiment with post processing, so I chose to tweak the settings of some of the built-in shaders of ReShade, a video game post processing software to create a VHS effect. Once I had the desired look, I recorded multiple videos on every map of the game, then got to editing. I also tweaked and distorted some of C418’s work from the albums Volume Alpha & Volume Beta made for Minecraft (2011), making them sound both creepy and comfortable, old and torn, distant yet close.

On the 27th of August I finished and published the video.

In the months before July, my mother, who is the vice president at the Ráckeve Millers' Guild Foundation came up with the idea of an atmospheric short film showcasing the ship mill, focusing on atmosphere, ambient sounds and overall feeling of the mill, its components at work and the surrounding area. I loved that idea, given how much I adore ambience myself, and so once the weather was right and the available time at our hands plentiful, we got to work on the project.

In July, me and my mother visited the ship mill and recorded all of the footage in a couple of hours. Then, the same day, we went home and I edited the footage into the short film with her guidance.

On the 22nd of July, we published the finished short film in both color and black and white formats.

💬 Create a presentation about my inner desire
🎯 Writer, Presenter, Perfomer | Create a presentation about my inner desire aimed at convincing a group of fictional employers/investors to hire me for a specific job role that aligns with my inner aspirations

❓ On the 25th and 26th of March, taking the assigned task into account, I reflected on how I could meet the requirements – how I could convince the imaginary “employers” and, most importantly, how to connect fulfilling the task with my inner desire. In the lessons prior to the assignment, the topic of inner desire had been discussed several times, and we had to articulate how it manifests within us.
During this, I formulated the following: my inner desire is to evoke emotions and creative thoughts, to inspire through my actions and creations.

These thoughts led me to the main theme of my presentation: creating a community or group where we could share, practice, and develop our creative and self-improvement activities together, fostering productivity and building a mutually active and instructive environment for its members.

On the 27th of March, I began working on the presentation, which consisted of a PowerPoint presentation and accompanying text. I aimed to make the presentation as engaging and clear as possible, with minimal text to read, knowing that the emphasis would be on the spoken words, and the presentation would serve as an accompaniment. Using a mix of music, sound effects, graphics, animations, and a custom logo, I tried to make the presentation interesting.
The visuals followed the structure built by the text—certain slides switched graphics to introduce the next idea, and the main part featured useful and continuous accompaniment of the group’s activities through visualizations of the topics.

Both the text and the presentation were completed by the 28th of March, and the presentation was delivered on the 29th of March, where I met the required criteria and successfully completed the task.

A reenactment of the presentation can be accessed here, the PowerPoint here, and the accompanying text here.

📑 I successfully completed the task with the highest possible grade. The instructor praised my work highly and later feedback also described my presentation as being of excellent quality.

🎯 Writer, Presenter, Perfomer | Make a segment of our presentation within the topic of A.I.

In September, during International Media we were tasked to write about a potentialsource of risk in the media today that we consider to be of great significance. I chose towrite about artificial intelligence and after delivering my paper to the course master andhaving a discussion about it with him, we agreed that I would lead this topic as soonafter that lesson, we were assigned the tasks to form groups and choose a topic aboutwhich with said group we would make and perform a presentation in front of the classand the course master. I, along with 3 others from the class, chose to research and present the topic of A.I. and the potential risks that may arise with it in the media today. We wrote down ideas, did some early research, agreed to do different subtopics on our own within the presentation and we were set for future work.

In October, we began work on the presentation itself and did research on the topics. My topic was identity theft and romance; therefore, I read and analyzed many relevant sources, real life stories and examples so that during the presentation I could deliver factual, relevant and nonetheless interesting information. I wrote the script of my part of the presentation, made the slides with careful consideration, practiced many times and made sure that my material would cover as much of the topics as possible. During this time, I also kept in touch with the others as we exchanged ideas, suggestions and agreed upon a date on which we would practice together before the real presentation. The practice session occurred and went well.

On the 15th of October, we held the presentation during the lesson with everyone from the group present, talking about their own segment one after the other.

A reenactment of my segment can be accessed here and its script here.

📑 Following the presentation, we received applause and good grades. The course master seemed to enjoy our and my material throughout the presentation, even laughed out loud at certain points as it was hoped and intended. Some of the other students walked up to me afterwards and told me how much they enjoyed my segment and that they think that I should become a teacher, given how clear and interesting my delivery and presentation were and how confident I came across on stage, talking to so many people without seemingly any worries or fear. I was humbled and proud to hear those words and I cherish them dearly.

💬 Make and present a 5-minute-long, carefully crafted business presentation
🎯 Writer, Presenter, Perfomer | Create an exciting, fun and unique presentation involving A.I. and out-of-the-box techniques

In October we were given the task to briefly describe the main ideas and points of the upcoming short presentation that we will have to finalize and present at the end of the course. I have given it a lot of thought and given a previous presentation of mine involving some of A.I. downsides and risks, I figured that it would be interesting to approach it from a positive angle and to make a presentation about A.I.'s use in our world in the past, present and future. I handed in my ideas as an assignment and began some research.

In November I was wondering how could I make this presentation special, what could I do that would surprise and intrigue the audience more than anyone else probably will? And then it came to me: what if I invited a co-host who is not a human person? What if I held a presentation with an A.I. itself? Therefore, I shifted my ideas and scope and ultimately, I decided that my presentation will be about an A.I. service, exploring an albeit fictitious example, however a very much real service that is available today out there on numerous platforms. Hence, my final topic became Artificial Intelligence & Its Uses As a Companion.

In December I wrote and rewrote the script numerous times, I practiced and checked and adjusted until the material was no more or less than 5 minutes and went on to Character.AI to create an A.I. chatbot whom I asked to read out loud the parts of the script that are written for my exotic co-presenter. After many recordings of the chatbot's interpretations, finding the right intonations and emotional deliveries, I edited the recordings and along with them, I got to make the presentation itself. I aimed to be as clear and simple as possible and adjusted events and moments in the presentation to fit certain moments just right, from animations simultaneously happening on the screen whilst the A.I. chatbot was speaking, to leaving long enough gaps between me saying something and the A.I. "responding" to what I say at times.

Finally, on the 3rd of December I presented in front of a small audience and my course master what I had.
I reenacted the presentation which you can watch here, and you can also find my presentation itself here and its script here.

📑 Following the presentation, I received applause and a hug from my course master who held me with a smile and was in awe of my performance. She told me that she has no idea how I made this, that it was beyond what she taught in her course, and that she wishes that my presentation was seen by the whole university so that they can see how talented some of the students at METU are.
She even told me after I talked about my interests in becoming a teacher or instructor someday, that if I do a master’s degree at METU, I could come back and teach at the university. From the audience, a course mate of mine said that this was no presentation - it was a performance. All these words are way beyond what I expected and what I think I deserve, but they fill me with overwhelming joy and pride so I felt that I should include them here, too.

💬 Create a video game under 96 hours
🎯 Project Manager, Writer, Creative Director, Game Designer, Level Designer, Voice Actor | Create a video game from scratch under 96 hours for Game Maker’s Tool Kit’s 2025 itch.io Game Jam

❓ In May, a good friend of mine “Aurenel” showed me an upcoming Game Jam by Game Maker’s Tool Kit which is held every year called GMTK 2025. They had the intentions of joining and asked me if I wanted to team up with them to create a game for the jam to which I said yes.

From the 30th of July at 7:00 PM till the 3rd of August at 8:00 PM (97 hours), the participants had to create a video game with a given theme that was revealed at the start of the game jam. This year’s theme was “LOOP”.

Before the game jam in July, we collected and consumed as many game making tutorials and tips as possible which would be useful to know before and during the game creation process. My friend experimented a lot in Godot with the different mechanics and ideas which became our chosen game engine to work in. They also made a Trello board which will prove to be a handy place to write down To Do lists and tasks.

On the 30th of July, once the theme was revealed, we instantly got to work. We started working on a mind map and both of us wrote down every single idea that we could associate with the given theme. Once that was done, we discussed our ideas and within 30 minutes we agreed on the game we wanted to make: a 3D low poly narrative-driven adventure game / walking simulator. We made a Google document which served as the game design and game script document.

I began writing the game script and the story and started drawing a map of the entire game. Given that neither of us had made a game before, I put heavy focus on simple mechanics, feasible scope and a narrative, world and gameplay that fit the theme of the game jam. I also kept in mind the map and how that will correlate to the gameplay and player direction. I decided that the game should take place in a house as that is a relatively small area, however it would be interesting to manipulate the world environment given the theme of the story and the game jam.

On the 31st of July I began 3D modelling the layout of the map based on the drawing I made earlier. The same day I created the layout of a whole house. My friend laid the foundations of many of the important game mechanics from the camera and movement to door logic and many more. By the end of the day, we could walk around in the game and had the initial house model imported and fully explorable.

On the 1st of August, I continued 3D modelling the house so that the aforementioned idea of manipulating the environment could become a reality. I made 2 different versions of the house model with some altered geometry and layouts. I also drew a map of a looping illusionary hallway that changes itself as the player walks through it and modelled it based on the map. My friend improved a lot of the mechanics previously added, fixed many bugs, added some sounds (e.g.: door, footsteps) and started implementing game events and logic which were key additions and helped visualize a lot of the plans we made before. Furthermore, we also started collecting some shader and model assets, as well as additional sound effects to be used and added later on.

At the end of the 1st of August and the early hours of the 2nd of August my friend changed the placeholder doors, added some lights and fixed bugs. It was then time to decorate the house to make it feel more lived in and more like an actual house, so I took a lot of the aforementioned model assets and decorated every room as much as I could.

Later on the same day I recorded and edited the voice lines outlined in the game script whilst my friend fixed bugs and improved a lot of the aspects of the game code and logic, added day night cycle animations and made the game beatable and seemlessly repeatable. At the end of the day, we had our first third party playtest done by a friend, whom we watched play the game and took notes of their many decisions, thoughts, reactions and ideas whilst playing the game.

The last day, the 3rd of August was spent refining the already implemented aspects and also adding many of the planned features that still awaited us. This day my friend added the shader that gives the game its unique look and coded all day as we discussed what items from our list of To Dos should be added, what should be discarded and how certain parts of the game should be changed to make it the most optimal and fun experience. We also added numerous ambient sounds that ultimately give the game even more coherence and ambience.

The last hour before the deadline of the game jam was spent polishing things, fixing bugs, writing a description and making screenshots and a banner for our game. We also didn’t have a name for the project at this point, however our playtester came up with the name “LETHE” which was so fitting with the game’s narrative, atmosphere and gameplay that we ultimately chose to use that name.

At around 6:30 PM, my friend Aurenel published our game to itch.io.
You can access the game here.

📑 In the end we had received 42 ratings and ultimately we got ranked #60 in Narrative, #78 in Audio, #114 in Artwork, #1269 in Creativity and #1604 in Enjoyment out of the 9651 games. We are in the top ~1% of the games in 3 out of 5 categories.

🎯 Modder, Scripter, Game Designer | Create a GZDoom gameplay modification

❓ In July of 2021 I had an idea for a gameplay mod for GZDoom - I wanted to create a gameplay mod that had a new character with new weapons, items and abilities. The idea and nature of the project was deeply personal, which made me want to progress faster than usual.

From the 28th to the 31st of July I outlined the basic principles of the gameplay, along with all the different items and mechanics and implemented most of them into the mod. The idea was that I wanted the character you play as - Psyduck - to be aplicable in almost any situation yet always weak and fragile which would require the player to be as vigilant and observant as possible with a little luck on their side. I recorded some voicelines for Psyduck and I also created my own rotoscoped model of a caracal in the shape of a cube - a sort of inside joke and reference to the “Floppa” memes - and made different attack animations for it.

August were spent with bugfixing and tweaking the code and gameplay to feel the best to the player, make the most sense and feel the most balanced in all situations. Following this, a personal event happened in September in my life that made me put the project on hold for a long time.

In October, I did some more bugfixing and changes and intended to finish the game, however the aforementioned event degraded my interest and I did not want to focus on this project for an uncertain amount of time - given the project’s personal nature and the fact that I had no deadline to meet whatsoever -.

In July of 2022, however, nearly a year since the project’s start I picked it up again and polished things up so that the mod could be playable by anyone with most other mods out there - mainly those that replace levels, enemies and particles, not the core gameplay itself -. I set a release date: the 31st of July, given that it was that date the previous year when most of the features were implemented, albeit far more broken and unfinished than how they turned out to be in the end.

After the mod was deemed playable and finished, I recorded some footage and made a trailer showcasing the mod and its features and on the 31st of July 2022 I published the mod on Doomworld.

❓ In June of 2019 I was experimenting with an ARG - alternate reality game - idea and tried implementing some of it in GZDoom. Amongst the implemented ideas was as a simple day-night cycle system which stood out from the rest of the features. The project had themes of AI, found footage, questions of mortality and what it means to be human. Despite its promising outlines, the project was put on hold as other, more importants events and projects came around.

Later on in March of 2020, I remembered my project and although I did not intend to continue it, I wanted take out the day-night cycle system and see if I could simplify it even more and make it work on its own. Turns out I could, and I had it ready, I analyzed how I did it and how I could explain it the easiest way possible. Having a script written, I got to recording footages and then to editing.

On the 8th of March I finished working on the video and published it, along with the day-night cycle system itself.

XIBALBA: In Doom - MAP01

💬 Total conversion mod & video
🎯 Modder, Scripter | Create a total conversion mod of Xibalba (2014) in GZDoom & demonstrate the first map

❓ In 2014 at age 11 I used to play a game called Xibalba (2014) and I fell in love with its gameplay, aesthetics, vibe and overall feel.

In January of 2019, given how much I adored that game and that I was experimenting with modding in GZDoom a lot, I decided to take a shot at incorporating every feature of Xibalba into GZDoom to see how much I can do at the age of 16 with little to no programming experience.

I started by importing every texture and sprite that I would need from the VR build of Xibalba into my mod file. Then, playing the game extensively to figure out how each system worked - since I didn’t have the source code for the game -, I started implementing the player character along with their arsenal and the different kind of enemies. Given how low-res the sprites and texture are in Xibalba, I also wanted to experiment with pushing the limits of GZDoom - instead of making everything at a normal, Doom-scale, I chose to make the world, along with the player and the enemies only a fraction of the normal scale to see if everything kept working as it should and that if I could keep up an illusion of a normal-scaled world for the avarage player. I also spent a lot of time checking every tile of the first map of the game, to see which texture belongs where and what light value should I give every tile, as Xibalba uses colored lighting extensively and beautifully as well.

Between January and April I spent as much time on implementing every feature to the best of my abilities, taking into account the experimental small world scale as well. On the 10th of April, I decided to record and demonstrate the first level of the game, implemented in GZDoom from beginning to the end.

Ultimately, I never continued the project, however the created material proved that if I wanted to, I could implement all of Xibalba in Doom, despite being only a kid and having little to no programming knowledge or experience.

You can access the video here as well as an image showcasing how small the game world is here.

🎯 Writer, Modder, Game Designer, Voice Actor, Editor | Create a short adventure game playable in the browser as a birthday gift for a friend

❓ On the 3rd of November I came up with a gift idea: I wanted to turn an inside joke with a friend into a short, playable experience. Given my experiments in GZDoom modding, I thought I would make a scripted mod like an actual game, however I thought it would be interesting to experiment with turning that mod into both a video project and a playable browser game with pre-rendered segments and a simple user interface.

I started work on the project on the 6th of November. I began with writing the story and the script of the game, along with experimenting with a user interface and a short video edit I made of a fictional company’s intro that would be behind the game in lore. I also started work on the game’s world and environment in GZDoom.

By the 8th of November I had a script done for half of the game. I decided it would be best to divide the experience into two chapters and in each chapter would be subchapters which would be .html pages with corresponding pre-rendered videos, including the intro, the main menu animation, a main menu loop video, settings, in-game cutscene, in-game interactable sequences etc. To keep track of all the different videos, sites and options I had a text file in which I kept everything in check to see what actions leads to which site and video, what happens when, amongst other things.

The time between the 9th and the 16th of November was spent with creating the experience in GZDoom, recording sequences according to the script, editing the video to add indicating input button animations to the video along with numerous sound effects, etc. Once the first chapter was complete and playable, I moved onto the second chapter and repeated the process, writing dialogues for NPC interactions and doing some minimal voice acting as well.

The time between the 16th and the 19th of November was spent playtesting, fixing problems, compressing video file sizes and uploading everything to my website under a subdomain dedicated for the game. After all that, I sent the game to my friend on their birthday.

You can access the game here.

📑 My friend loved the game and still mentions it from time to time to this day. I, whilst recognizing the game’s many problems, still think back wholeheartedly to it as it was more important as a gesture than anything else.

💬 Write a backstory for a D&D character
🎯 Writer | Create a complex, engaging and realistic backstory for my Dungeons & Dragons character

❓ With a friendgroup of mine, we intended to start a Dungeons & Dragons campaign - a role playing tabletop adventure game - for which we were told to create our characters and write some backstory for them.

On the 4th of January I began outlining and writing the story of my character in a Word document. I wanted to create something unique, terrifying, but also dynamic enough to leave room for experimentation and potential funny moments whilst playing the character. I dived deep into technical explanations, character backgrounds, important events etc. I intended to be as detailed as possible and approached the project more so as a story writing effort, rather than a D&D character creation project.

I also wanted to create some visuals to represent my ideas even more. I decided to use HeroForge, an online app and website that allows you to create miniatures and figurines in 3D. It offers detailed assets and high customizability, which was perfect for what I wanted to do. I created the characters and also used and made various poses for the different chapters of my writing material.

After about 3 weeks of work, I finished the backstory on the 25th of January and sent it to my group of friends.
Later in November of the same year, I expanded the material with brief notes on how I would continue the story of The Quod following where I left it with the initial document.

You can find the document in PDF format here, whilst the afterthought notes can be found here on how the story would continue.

📑 I received varying responses from my friends regarding the material - some found it terrifying, some were impressed, some were both. The amount of detail I put into the story was unprecedented, however due to the graphic elements and the overall dystopian nature of the story, The Quod was ultimately unused in our D&D campaign. Despite that, I am immensely proud of the final material and would like to expand it some day.

📅 October 2022
🌍 Social Studies I. Project Work - Budapest Metropolitan University (METU)
💬 Production of a film addressing a social issue, with a duration of at least 20 minutes and a maximum of 25 minutes
🎯 Writer | Write a screenplay of a thought-provoking narrative film, lasting 20–25 minutes, presenting the issue of depression and suicide from the perspective of a specific character

By the fourth week of October, the screenplay was completed and we could move onto filming the scenes, for which the cover page of the screenplay served as a progression meter.

💬 Preparation and planning of a documentary
🎯 Media Communications Specialist, WriterPreparation of a detailed and thorough film treatment and plan

❓ On the 17th of February, the process of planning the film began. I chose the film’s topic, which, beyond the historical significance of millers and watermills, focuses on presenting the Ráckeve Ship Mill and its community, showcasing the preparation and construction processes of the ship mill, supported by interviews and reports with key community members.

During the remainder of February, in collaboration with the vice president of the ship mill, I conducted research by examining numerous written and visual sources. Immersing myself in the topic, I took notes and made records to make the subject more understandable and clearer for myself. Instead of a screenplay, my goal was to write a preparatory document, a treatment, and draft questions related to the interviewees and the many subtopics of the subject.

In the preparatory document, I outlined the film’s content structure, proposed possible interviewees, drafted a potential list of questions and an interview guideline, and took notes from archived forum posts of Ráckeve about the ship mill’s preparation and construction phases, highlighting significant events. This document served as an essential foundation for writing the treatment.

The treatment outlined the film’s genre, a one-sentence summary, possible characters, the film’s flow and plan, finalized a general question list intended for all interviewees, wrote a few specific questions for individual participants, and left space for additional questions later.

In early March, I finalized these documents and forwarded them to the president of the Ráckeve Millers’ Guild Foundation. The preparatory document can be accessed here, and the treatment can be accessed here.

📑 The president of the foundation expressed satisfaction and support for the preparatory document and treatment, and based on these ideas, work on the documentary film began with the consent and approval of the ship mill community.

💬 Assignment Task
🎯 Writer | Write a treatment as a team based on a previously written synopsis

❓ This task is based on a previous work we had to submit during the course, which was a one-page long synopsis of a part of Romeo and Juliet or an original story, the latter of which I chose and submitted as my assignment on CooSpace.

Following this, we formed teams of 3-4 people and had to select one of our synopsises to work with. In my team we chose my synopsis, and the task was to further develop the synopsis by collaboratively writing a treatment.

At the end of October, my 4-member team started working on the project. Since we were working with my story and synopsis, I took the lead. Through a discussion, we selected a crucial part of the story that propels and establishes the plot, ensuring it was lengthy enough to effectively demonstrate the story's characters, their life circumstances, and the story's plot itself. Following a mutual agreement, we determined who would be writing which part of the treatment, and on the 1st of November, we began our work.

With an agreed-upon plot outline and following different points of key events in the story, everyone wrote their own part (beyond my part, I also assisted others with their sections), and on the 4th of November, we completed the treatment, which we submitted to the teacher through CooSpace.

💬 Christmas Gift
🎯 Writer, Film Director, 3D Modeller, Animator, Voice Actor | Create a 3D animation film and song playlist as a gift with inside jokes and special songs

In the early days of December I thought of an idea for a Christmas present I would make for my family: a hand-drawn, short animation film of gnomes with a plot to take over the world, including our home - which is an inside joke to the fact that we have plenty of gnome plushies around for every season of the year - which would be then interrupted by the Christmas holiday spirit and plenty of songs I know my parents love and which we would listen to each year decorating the Christmas tree. By the 11th of December I decided that instead of 2D, I would make it in 3D given that I had some rookie experience with low poly modelling and animation earlier that year.

On the 12th of December, work on the film began. I made a simplistic gnome model based on the Christmas gnome I had in my room which is both generic and expressive enough so that it resembles the rest of the gnomes well. That day I also began script writing, collecting textures, sounds and began planning the overall environment I would have to make. For modelling I chose Blockbench, the one program I grew most accustomed to, whilst animation and the world environment would be handled and made in Godot.

By the 14th of December I had a script ready along with the first version of the tavern the film would take place in, filled with variations of colored gnomes all around. I began importing everything into Godot and began work on lighting, fog placement and other minor details.

On the 15th of December I began collecting MIDIs and MODs of songs from various sites, including freemidi.org, modarchive.org and others, including a Chinese MIDI collection site as well. I wanted to revive many of these songs with a new Soundfont through the usage of VirtualMidiSynth, which worked really well and made the songs sound all new and polished.

The time between the 16th of December and the 22nd of December was day and night crunch work on the animation, shot direction, colleciting songs, sounds, voice acting and putting everything together. I would animate a scene in Godot, record it with a screen recorder, import it into Hitfilm, edit the sequence and add sound effects, ambience and record the voice lines from the script whilst watching the material. The most animation-intense scene would take me up to 7-8 hours to complete.

In between the voiced segments when songs would play - given that I intended for the video to play during the time we decorate our Christmas tree - I would make sure that one could track where a song is with a line on the bottom of the screen, which songs are up next and when can one expect another voiced animation sequence so that we could prepare for it in time and watch it together.

After a lot of hard work, on the 22nd of December I exported the final version of the film and rewatching it a few times, I concluded it to be complete. After that I would make a playlist of the songs that play during the film with a cover art, so that one could listen to them alone as well.

I premiered the film to my family on the 24th of December, during the time when we decorate our Christmas tree every year.
The animation film can be accessed here.

📑 My family was surprised at the gift and at how extensive it was, and we had a lovely time watching it together and listen to the songs whilst decorating our tree. My friends also had many positive words and appreciation for it.

Spaceship Model With Functionalities

💬 Game Design & 3D Model
🎯 Game Designer3D Modeller, | Create a 3D low poly space ship cockpit and exterior with functionalities

In July we discussed a video game idea with a friend of mine in which the player would be a space ship pilot, exploring a distant one of a kind system with abnormalities and anomalies abundant. We started working on a game design document, writing a basic plot summary and game mechanics ideas, along with collecting various other games which could prove influential from many aspects. I, especially at the time, was heavily into games like the old ELITE games, Pioneer, SpaceEngine, NASA broadcasts and Moon exploration missions along with flight simulators, so I intended to design a core game mechanic in which the player would fly and control a spaceship freely in a system with simplified flight controls that had to be learned but overall would not be too difficult to use and would be satisfying to manage and use.

On the 22nd of July I started work on the model. I intended to base in the interior on actual NASA spaceships and looked up numerous reference photos to focus my mind on their aesthetics and general functionality. By the 24th of July I had the basic layout of the cockpit ready and I wrote down many of the ship’s instruments, what they did and how the player could start up the spaceship. All of that I compiled into a single image which you can find below.

On the 26th of July, I concluded the model to be complete for the time, given that I added every functionality and textured the whole ship to the best of my abilities.

On the 27th of July, I imported the ship model into Godot and added numerous lights to make the ship come alive. I asked ChatGPT to code some basic mechanics such as flight- and camera controls, then I recorded a demonstration video showcasing my ship flying above a placeholder planet mesh.

You can access the demo recording here and the image that explains the ship’s functionalities here.

🎯 Writer, Game Designer3D Modeller, Animator, | Create a 3D animated fried chicken intended to be a boss encounter in a video game

In July we began work on a video game with my best friend. For that game, I am responsible for the writing, game design and the creation of the models and animations, one if which is a boss enemy: a reanimated Fried Chicken.

After designing the boss encounter on paper in our game design document - which consisted of 3 separate stages of the boss -, I began modelling and animating in Blockbench. I intended to make the 3 stages visually distinct, both in how the chicken looks and also how it behaves: I wanted to give it as much personality as possible, much akin to an enraged child trying to get revenge on the player for what they have done. To achieve the visual differences, I made 3 layers on the chicken: the bones, the flesh, and the skin, then in each layer I made separate sub-layers for animation to make them fly away / disappear. During the animation process, I also tried to convey the chicken’s growing tiredness and fatigue: each stage it is less and less fluent, slower and slower and more and more chaotic as a result.

The model and its animations were finished on the 21st of July.
You can access a recording showcasing them here.
